To our friends and supporters,

We are honored and excited to announce that we have been chosen to participate in a special charitable giving campaign, sponsored and funded by Target. And you have the chance to help direct a portion of Target’s donation to Abandoned Animal Rescue!

Now through December 31, vote for Abandoned Animal Rescue through the Target Circle program to help determine how Target’s donation will be divvied up.

We’re asking our supporters to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity. Every vote counts to help us receive a portion of the available Target funds as we continue our mission to Give Paws a Helping Hand (TM) and help more pets like Maxine (see her story below).

Don’t forget, as you earn more votes, you can keep voting multiple times during the campaign!

Thank you for your support, and we encourage you to share your support for us (and your thanks to Target) on social media throughout the duration of the voting!

Our adorable 8-year-old Maxine was found as a stray and brought to AAR. We just learned a few days ago that she has a collapsed trachea. Due to the severity of her condition, she was taken to A&M where they are putting in stents to stabilize her trachea so she can breathe.

We are hopeful that Maxine will do well with this surgery. We will then focus on her recovery and at some point, find her a forever home. Donations to help with Maxine’s surgery can be made through this link: https://www.facebook.com/donate/819993098667970/

Thank you for your support! Funds raised in excess of this amount will go to help other AAR animals.

UPDATE: 9/30 Maxine’s vitals are good so she is being released today. She will spend some time with a medical foster before coming back to AAR. Thank you all for your support!

NEW ARRIVALS! Any tabby fans out there? These three are ready to meet you!

Our adoption hours are Tuesday to Friday 10-2, Saturday 10-3, and Sunday 11-3. No appointments needed. Just stop on by!

Abandoned Animal Rescue is entirely managed and maintained by volunteers.

This means that all the money raised or donated goes towards caring for cats and dogs, and maintaining the quality of the shelter and its grounds. AAR raises money through adoption fees, clinic fees, donations from supporters, and fundraisers.
