Wearing faded blue-purple collar.
She followed my husband home and we’ve been taking care of her for a few days now.
She is very friendly and seems to have had decent socialization and/or training. She brings a toy for fetch or tug of war. She allowed me to apply ointment to some raw spots on her muzzle and to a scratch on the inside of her rear left leg.
She reacts very enthusiastically with kids and smaller pets. Our two small dogs have not dropped their guard yet, but they are able to be out in the yard all together, supervised, with no issues.
She responds to verbal commands reasonably well and is good about not jumping up on people and generally just not hurling her considerable bulk around.
Unknown health history; looks like she’s been pregnant before; slight limp in front right leg, not microchipped, no tags on collar.
We can’t be a very long term foster, due to space constraints, smaller kids and 3 pets, plus our own inexperience with larger dogs.
