Searching for forever home

Found: Male Dog / by Yvette LaChute / 204 views

Since November 20, 2022, I have been fostering a dog that was found in my neighborhood and appears to have been abandoned/dumped. He was taken to a nearby veterinarian (Cole’s Veterinarian Clinic) to be scanned for a chip and there was none. He also has no tags but had a black collar on when found. Although I would love to keep him, which I have considered, I’m not home enough to keep a dog long-term. I am able to foster him until a forever home is found.

He was named Chase because he evaded so many people in the neighborhood for hours and he seems to like the name. Attempts to find his owner(s) have been unsuccessful despite posts in several FB groups, PawBoost, and on Nextdoor. Chase would love to find a great, loving, and caring forever home. The age is unknown but estimated to be about a year.

He is an absolute sweetheart who loves to be around people, obsessed with fetch (particularly balls), attention, and being wherever the humans are. He is very smart and knows how to sit for a treat.

Chase is housebroken and doesn’t care for the crate though is fine once in it. He likes to lay on the sofa and sleep in the bed. He loves children although since he doesn’t recognize his strength older children would be better because he likes to jump in excitement.

Chase tends to ignore other dogs as long as they leave him to play with his toys. He is also submissive with other dogs and loves to chew on the leash. Due to my back issues, I have been unable to take him on walks.

As for cats, he hasn’t been around any with me so I’m not sure.
