I’m reaching out in hopes of finding support for a young dog I recently rescued. Saturday 8/29, I found her alone in Lents Family Park East in Spring, following families around and appearing hungry and thirsty. I brought her home, had her evaluated at Texas Litter Control, and updated her vaccines.

Unfortunately, she has not been getting along well with my resident dog (I have a Cane Corso who is protective/territorial), and they have begun fighting. I’ve been managing the situation and am willing to continue fostering her for a few more weeks if needed, but I urgently need help finding either a foster placement or an adopter so she can remain in a safe environment.

I’ve named her Bones (she was just “skin and bones” when I found her!). She appears to be a Collie/German Shepherd mix, approximately 6-12 months old, and is not yet spayed. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to please, but she is also very high-energy and would do best with an active owner who can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and some continued training.

She is partially house-trained, crate-trained for rest and nighttime sleeping, and is becoming more comfortable riding in the car. She gets along well with other people and dogs, but seems she would do best in a home with less dogs than more. As expected for her age, she is still in a playful, mouthy puppy stage and would benefit from basic obedience training. Overall, she is a wonderful dog with a lot of potential and would make a great companion in the right home.
